The Neelambari kriti Anandavalli , a composition of Swati Tirunal was rendered in a bhava laden style. The sub main piece was Marivere dikkevvaru in Shanmugapriya. A beautiful rendering of Naattakurinji for which Mysore Vasudevachar's composition Nachai Vidavaku ra was selected, was a good choice for a central piece.

The main item of the evening was an elaborate rendition of Keeravani with the popular Kaligiyunte of Thyagaraja as the krithi. The broad and precise manodharma of the artist was proven during the alapanai as well as the neraval and swaram at Bhaguga Sree Raghu. Thukkadas included Naaneka Bhadavano in Behag by Purandaradasa and a Tamil virutham followed by Thillana in Darbari Kanada.

The concert was very impressive, with the youngster doing his best. On the accompaniments were Smt. Charulatha Ramanujam who maintained her usual top class. Sri.BR Srinivas on Mridangam and Sri. M.Gururaj on Morsing gave enthusiastic support. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable programme.
